What you will do:

  • Manage sales staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees as well as ongoing monitoring, coaching and appraising job results.
  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for Inside Sales Representatives; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new services.

Bestpass, Inc., is seeking a professional SQL Specialist to keep our database up and running smoothly 24/7. You will work with internal teams, external vendors, and external customers to design, develop, customize, configure, test, deploy and support database software in the .NET framework in support of our back-office account management, invoicing and payment platform. Your key objectives include improving security, speed, reliability, maintainability, and scalability.

The goal is to provide a seamless flow of information throughout the company, considering both backend data structure and frontend accessibility for end-users. The candidate we want will be involved in the planning and development of databases, troubleshooting system issues, report writing, SQL tuning and data warehouse maintenance.

We are looking for smart, articulate team players who know how to get things done. We need team members with a drive to build a world-class development shop that fulfills the spirit of the agile manifesto and scores well on the Joel test and the Nokia test. We are looking for pragmatic programmers who value proven design patterns over new trends. What you will do:

    Take initiative in performance, working independently and with groups to effectively accomplish project objectives and engage in the following:

  • Identify database requirements by interviewing stakeholders; analyzing department operations; evaluating existing systems, and reviewing plans for new designs
  • Maintain a data warehouse
  • Write reports
  • Work collaboratively with developers to improve applications and establish best practices
  • Monitor performance and manage parameters to provide fast responses to front-end users
  • Troubleshoot system issues like high CPU usage, blocking, long running queries
  • Map out the conceptual designs for planned database changes considering both back-end organization of data and front-end accessibility for end-users
  • Install and test new versions of the DBMS
  • Maintain data standards, including adherence to the Data Protection Act
  • Support efforts to increase security to comply with PCI and SOC-2 principles
  • Ensure database backup for disaster recover
  • Write database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata)
  • Control access permissions and privileges

  • Previous experience with DBA CASE tools (frontend/backend) and third-party tools
  • Familiarity working with .NET framework

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Partner and Provider Operations Coordinator is responsible for reviewing, organizing, cataloging and analyzing requests from internal and external customers. This role is also responsible for performing quality control checks, proactively identifying new opportunities and areas for improvement, and ensuring that requests are completed according to schedule and to the highest possible level of satisfaction for all involved parties.

We are seeking an individual who is looking for a career and not just a job. This candidate is an organized, detail-oriented, personable coordinator who can professionally represent our organization. This position is for the individual who enjoys being challenged and multi-tasking to learn all about the company including sales, operations and product development.

What you will do:

  • Review, process, and catalogue partner and provider escalation requests. The position will manage and respond to requests via email, face-to-face, development tickets, chat sessions, meetings, conference calls, etc.
  • Review, process and manage issues escalated for resolution with provider/partner.
  • Assist the department director in the development, implementation, and management of Partner & Provider services and relationships.
  • Contribute to internal communications systems to help ensure that information flows consistently and effectively from team to team throughout the company
  • Develop training materials and coordinate training sessions related to Partner & Provider services for all customer facing teams.
  • Visit provider and/or partner sites to present our products and services and review how we can integrate with their current system or set up.

Team Size: 10+ software and QA engineers with varied levels of experience

Expectations from us:

Make Plans
  • Learn & understand our product
  • Understand dev ops and bug-fix workload
  • Understand release calendar
  • Understand testing capacity (people and platforms)
  • Consult with internal departments to identify customer needs and include prioritization
  • Facilitate creating and documenting statements of work
  • Participate in design discussions and design reviews to understand technical solutions
  • Obtain estimates for all work
  • Schedule development, testing and future releases

Monitor Progress

  • Maintain constant knowledge of work being achieved versus plan for QA, dev-ops, product development, and QC activities

Expectations from you:

  • Seven plus (7+) plus years of demonstrated experience in software development for complex function-based software and managing enterprise applications in C#, .NET framework.
  • Hires great people – Develops great people. Demonstrated experience (3+ years) in building, mentoring, and leading multiple development teams of four or more in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relentlessly high standards. Demonstrated experience identifying and implementing software tools, environments, and methods to foster team growth, maintain rigor, and enhance software development processes to increase efficiency.
  • Two plus (2+) years working within an agile software development environment.
  • Thorough understanding and first-hand use of JIRA, Confluence, Bit Bucket, and Hipchat
  • Clear, concise communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Thinks strategically, but stays on top of tactical execution
  • Be a subject matter expert for our client applications, back-end services, and business constraints.
  • Technical leadership to development team by leading planning sessions and scrum meetings.
