Tom joined Bestpass in 2020 with over two decades of executive experience in the software, technology, and data industries. He specializes in managing and growing technology firms, building great teams and scalable operations. He comes to us after 11 years with RDC (Regulatory DataCorp, Inc.) as President and Chief Operating Officer as the high growth Software/Data-as-a-Service company became a leader in fighting financial crime, helping protect approximately 1,000 banks and financial institutions and 35,000 compliance professionals globally before it became part of Moody's Analytics. He has undergraduate and MBA degrees from the Wharton Business School, and in his spare time, Tom has a passion for travelling the world with his wife and three kids learning about cultures and history (and food!).
John has more than 20 years of experience in technology implementation, senior management, and development and deployment of scalable services and solutions. John was selected to serve as President and CEO of Bestpass in the fall of 2009 when the organization had four employees, processing $15 million in tolls annually. The company has since grown to nearly 100 employees, processing more than $1 billion in tolls annually. He continues to lead the company's partnership and innovation efforts. Outside of the office, John enjoys a busy home life with his wife and three kids and is a homebrewer of craft beer.
Jason joined Bestpass in 2022 with more than 25 years of experience driving results across multiple industries and SaaS companies. He most recently served as the Vice President of Sales and CRO at GPS Insight, where he developed the strategic go-to market plan, product positioning, and revenue growth for the organization. In his role as Chief Revenue Officer, Jason will oversee the sales and marketing teams and support revenue management functions. Jason currently resides in Scottsdale, Arizona with his wife, Loray, and enjoys visiting his children, Drew and Jill at college in California.
Joe joined Bestpass in 2014, after spending 20 years in commercial banking and 10 years in the tolling and transportation industry working on toll projects on every continent except Antarctica. Joe’s focus is on developing and maintaining relationships and business with toll agencies and industry related partners across North America. At home, Joe enjoys spending time with his family and two kids, watching/coaching them in sports and regularly plays hockey himself in the OMHL (Old Man Hockey League).
Prior to joining Bestpass, Decaire practiced law for more than 17 years as an attorney with Carter Conboy, where he served as outside general counsel for several Capital Region companies, including Bestpass. He earned his juris doctorate from Albany Law School and his undergraduate degree in political science at the State University of New York College at Oswego. A Town of New Scotland resident, Decaire also serves on the associate board of directors for the St. Peter’s Hospital Foundation and the board of directors for the Voorheesville Baseball Club, Inc.
Cindy joined Bestpass with more than 10 years of experience building and scaling programs to drive successful outcomes for customers. She most recently served as Senior Director of Growth at RDC, a leader in fighting financial crime. In her role as SVP Customer Experience and Operations, Cindy will work to ensure Bestpass continues to offer a best-in-class customer experience through growth and execute on strategic initiatives to deliver improved scalability. Outside of work, you can usually find her busy spending time outdoors with her husband, 3 sons and 2 dogs.
Dave joined Bestpass in 2021 with more than 20 years of Human Resources experience. He most recently served as the Chief People Officer at Auto/Mate Dealership Systems before their acquisition by DealerSocket. Under his leadership, Auto/Mate was awarded a “Best Places to Work” and “Top Workplace” in Albany’s Capital Region for 10+ consecutive years. In his role as Vice President of People & Culture, Dave will bring his obsession with culture and engagement to make sure that Bestpass employees love coming to work every day. Dave enjoys spending his free time outdoors with his wife and two daughters. He also serves on the Board of Trustees for Make-A-Wish of Northeast New York.
"Ali joined Bestpass in 2013 and throughout her tenure here has led our communications, marketing, and customer operations departments. In her role as Vice President of Transformation, Ali will leverage her 20 years of customer service, project management, and management experience to ensure that all major undertakings are achieved on time and with focus, clear ownership, and accountability. She will bring transparency and communication to projects and rapidly and proactively identify any risk to success. Outside of work, Ali enjoys reading, crafting, and spending time with her husband, son, and two dogs."
John joined Bestpass in June 2017 with more than 25 years of increasingly responsible financial management experience. John, a CPA, directs all activities related to finance, accounting and administration for Bestpass. Previously, he was the CFO of a number of mid-market growth oriented companies in the technology industry. He was also the corporate controller of a large public insurance company, and he started his career at Ernst & Young. John is a big sports fan and particularly enjoys golf and skiing.
Mike joined Bestpass in 2010 with 20 years of career experience, primarily in the sales and advertising fields. Mike has applied his experience and enthusiasm to expand the company’s sales to previously untapped markets, while managing and growing an expanding sales team. Outside of work, Mike devotes much of his time to his sports-minded family and coaches several levels of his children’s sports teams, and is the head coach for his hometown’s girls’ varsity basketball team.
Heather joined Bestpass in 2009, with more than 19 years of systems analysis, design, software development, and project leadership experience. She has been instrumental in the evolution of the company from a discounted toll service to a comprehensive payment platform provider and leader in toll management solutions for commercial fleets of all shapes and sizes. Heather is a devoted football and basketball mom who, along with her husband, cheers the loudest for their two sons at their games.
Michael brings approximately 15 years of proven technical business leadership and software development experience to Bestpass, where he manages the company's development teams. Previously, he was vice president, technology, at IEEE GlobalSpec, and he has also served as director, product development and delivery, for IHS. He earned his computer science degree from Siena College, as well as an Essential Management Skills for Emerging Leaders Certificate from Harvard Extension School.
Jon joined Bestpass in 2021 with more than 20 years of experience in building and leading organizations that accelerate growth and market share. Jon previously served as the President of Highway Administration and latterly as Executive Vice President of Verra Mobility. In his current role, Jon leads the consumer business unit that is tasked with expanding Bestpass’s presence in adjacent markets and segments. Jon helps bring new products and services to market and expanding our customer base. Jon, a native of the UK, is a passionate supporter of both Chelsea FC and NYCFC, and an avid fan of formula 1 racing. Outside of work, Jon enjoys spending time with his 3 children and walking with his dog, Maui.
